Dave Young, senior vice president of strategic sales at Lumen Technologies, was presented his 2022 Wash100 Award during a recent visit to the company’s office by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.
Executive Mosiac has bestowed the prestigious Wash100 Award for the last nine years to recognize the significant executives of consequence to our industry and the anticipated contributions they’re expected to make to the GovCon community in the coming year.
For his third Wash100 Award win, Dave Young received the highest honor in all of government contracting (GovCon) for leading the synchronization of Lumen’s indirect team with the company’s system integrator, global hyperscaler and digital ventures businesses to deliver increased value for Lumen’s partners and federal and commercial customers.
Back in August 2021, Lumen Technologies announced that Dave Young had been appointed to his newly created role where the leaders from the Lumen System Integrator, Global Hyperscaler, Digital Ventures and Indirect Sales groups will report to him as as well.
Recently, Dave Young also emphasized that public sector agencies should take a holistic approach to develop and comply with President Biden’s executive order on cybersecurity and deliver the most secure digital experiences possible.
Young wrote in an article detailing Lumen’s cybersecurity investment efforts enabled the company to establish a platform that provides data protection, cyberthreat mitigation and intelligence and network resilience support to public sector customers.
He talked about the company’s establishment of federal security operations centers and efforts to help agencies realize the advantage of zero trust networking by complying with the requirements of the Trusted Internet Connections 3.0 initiative as well.
Executive Mosaic is proud to recognize Lumen Technologies and Dave Young for being named a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient. As a three-time winner of the most coveted award in GovCon, Young has demonstrated a level of success and recognition that can only be recognized by the Wash100 Award and the GovCon community.
