The Vertex Company has been awarded a potential seven-year, $850 million contract to help a U.S. Navy aviation component maintain aircraft for the branch’s test and evaluation activities.
The company said Monday it will provide organizational-level maintenance services to the Naval Test Wing Atlantic, whose fleet consists of fixed-wing, unmanned and rotary aircraft platforms assigned across five squadrons.
Contract work will primarily take place in Patuxent River, Maryland, and the award has a one-year base period along with options to extend services for up to six more years.
