Terry Benedict, formerly the chief operating officer of Blue Origin, has been appointed to serve as the executive vice president for naval, nuclear and critical infrastructure programs at Systems Planning and Analysis.
The retired U.S. Navy vice admiral contributed approximately three decades of military service in support of the service branch’s strategic systems programs, SPA said Monday.
William Vantine, president and CEO of SPA, underscored Benedict’s mission leadership, knowledge and experience, and welcomed the new EVP to the company team.
Benedict served as the Navy’s director for strategic systems programs through 2018 after his tenure as program executive officer of integrated warfare systems. His private sector career, which followed his military service, includes recent work as an operations manager at Bechtel National.
He also previously served on SPA’s board of directors and continues to be part of Draper’s board.
Virginia-based SPA offers services in the areas of systems engineering, policy and compliance, program support and advanced analytics.
