The General Services Administration announced that the upcoming Federal Marketplace Spring 2022 release will include information on a new platform for the buyer experience that was developed using human centered design principles and feedback from federal agency buyers, acquisition professionals and suppliers.
GSA said Wednesday the updated buyer experience will provide purchasers access to market research and acquisition tools, templates, pricing resources and other documents to assist stakeholders in their acquisition planning efforts.
“With the launch of our new buyer experience, we highlight GSA’s commitment to our customers, suppliers, and workforce while improving the buying process,” said Sonny Hashmi, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service and a previous Wash100 Award winner.
“I am excited for our users to see what they helped develop and look forward to watching it grow and expand in the years to come,” Hashmi added.
Through the forthcoming FMP Spring 2022 release, GSA said it will provide suppliers with new tools to mitigate burdens and streamline their experience as they work to deliver goods and services to agencies.
The agency will also make clarifications on qualification requirements, government procurement options and the process of preparing proposals for submission and offer updates on efforts to simplify the onboarding process for suppliers through the Multiple Award Schedule Roadmap.
