General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business has received a potential five-year, $95 million contract from AmeriCorps for enterprise IT services.
GDIT said Thursday it will provide cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, digital modernization, security management, systems and application modernization and operations center support under the eITS contract to help AmeriCorps modernize its IT systems.
The company will also use the Microsoft Azure cloud to facilitate the delivery of a platform as a service in support of AmeriCorps’ mission across the country.
AmeriCorps is a government agency that helps 40,000 communities address critical challenges by promoting volunteerism and national service.
Jylinda Johnson, vice president and general manager of government operations at GDIT, said the company’s services will help the agency improve its productivity and modernize its IT operations.
The eITS contract has a base term of nine months, four option years and a three-month option period.
