The Defense Health Agency intends to solicit a suite of information technology products and services from the business sector to minimize the impact of sunsetting legacy medical IT applications on the agency’s mission and operations.
DHA’s Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems program office is looking to procure support services to sustain the Theater Medical Information Program Joint infrastructure and the agency expects to release a final request for proposals soon, according to a presolicitation notice posted on SAM.gov.
JOMIS plans to archive adequate system data and maintain IT software and hardware licenses when shutting down these outdated components.
The program also aims to improve TMIP-J’s sustainment activities across multiple aspects including cost, military-wide interoperability and ease of maintenance.
DHA’s Program Executive Office for Defense Healthcare Management Systems oversees JOMIS.
Work under the contract may take place at locations within and outside the continental U.S. over five one-year ordering periods and potential six-month extensions.
Interested parties may send comments and questions through March 23.
