Daybreak-Azimuth Combination Aims to Support Federal Customers

Intelligence analysis and cybersecurity company Daybreak is set to merge business operations with geospatial analytics firm Azimuth1 at the start of March.

Manik Rath, a former executive at LMI and Alion Science and Technology, will serve as CEO of the combined entity named Daybreak LLC, the company said Monday.

Jason Dalton, founder and CEO of Azimuth1, will become chief technology officer at the merged organization.

“Our merger with Daybreak advances our combined ability to develop and deploy innovative solutions, and to deliver on our promise of supporting federal agencies and commercial companies who safeguard our nation’s health, safety and security,” Dalton said.

Azimuth1 offered data analytics, software development and geospatial analysis support to multiple federal agencies including the Food and Drug Administration, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate.

Daybreak’s previous customers include U.S. Central Command, the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
