Sandy Dunn, formerly chief information security officer at health care insurance company Blue Cross of Idaho, has joined BreachQuest to hold the dual role of chief information officer and chief security officer.
She will oversee BreachQuest’s information technology initiatives and security practices in support of its business goals, the cybersecurity company said Wednesday.
Dunn, who has more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity, worked to bolster security practices and establish an enterprise-wide vision to protect information assets and customer data during her time at Blue Cross.
Her career also includes 15 years of work at Hewlett Packard, where she served as an information security officer and product security strategist.
BreachQuest offers an incident preparedness platform that uses data analysis to protect customers from cyber threats including ransomware.
Dunn’s appointment follows BreachQuest’s receipt of $4.4 million in seed funding raised with the help of Slow Ventures, Lookout Founder Kevin Mahaffey and Tinder Founders Sean Rad and Justin Mateen.
