B&A has secured the top spot on the mid-sized category of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia list, marking the fourth time the information technology systems integrator was recognized under the statewide survey and awards program.
Virginia Business Magazine and Best Companies Group listed 100 companies that demonstrated best employment practices and recognized their contributions to the economy, workforce and businesses in the state, B&A said.
Commenting on B&A’s top ranking among mid-size companies, President and CEO Jonathan Evans shared that the IT service management provider looks to ensure that its people are cared for as they are the company’s “No. 1 asset.”
“B&A has always placed a central focus on its employees but our dedication to our employees’ wellbeing has truly manifested in the past year with the addition of the B&A Cares Program,” he said.
One of the efforts under the employee-focused initiative is providing B&A workforce with access to a registered counselor to connect with, according to Evans. “That certainly resonated well with many individuals.”
According to the Best Places to Work in Virginia program’s website, about 75 percent of the overall company evaluation is determined through employee survey to gauge their workplace experiences. The remaining percentage accounts for workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.
