L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has won a potential 10-year, $750 million contract to provide the U.S. Marine Corps multichannel handheld radios for integration with joint light tactical vehicles and high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles.
Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity and received two offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive procurement process, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The company will also provide vehicle installation kits consisting of antennas, mounts and amplifiers and related accessories.
The MCHH radios will replace legacy handheld devices that do not comply with the 2024 cryptographic modernization mandate of the National Security Agency.
The command is obligating $1.12 million in fiscal 2022 procurement funds and expects work to occur in Rochester, New York, through January 2032 if all options are exercised.
