Carahsoft Technology was awarded a five-year, $100 million blanket purchase agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services for Salesforce licenses in support of HHS organizations looking to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency through cloud-based implementations, FedHealthIT reported Wednesday.
The contractor was the sole bidder on the single-award BPA deal, which was competed on the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedules vehicle.
According to Carahsoft, the agreement provides for license and renewal tracking as well as access to software- and platform-based services offerings that are authorized under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
HHS, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services already use Salesforce in support of its programs. GSA and other government agencies also employ the customizable technology platform, Carahsoft noted.
The contract is set to expire on Dec. 9.
