CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has acquired ID Technologies from investment firm The Acacia Group for approximately $225 million as part of efforts to expand its secure network modernization capabilities in support of Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and federal civilian agency customers.
ID Technologies is an Ashburn, Virginia-based provider of enterprise information technology, infrastructure-as-a-service and network modernization platforms that comply with the National Security Agency’s Commercial Solutions for Classified program, CACI said Wednesday.
John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI, said the acquisition broadens CACI’s customer portfolio and enhances its technology for mission and enterprise customers that require CsfC-compliant devices and need access to classified data from remote areas.
“With ID Technologies, CACI can accelerate end-user mobility and the use of communication outside of secure government-run facilities using secure software-at-scale,” added Mengucci, a 2022 Wash100 Award winner.
CACI closed the acquisition on Dec. 29, and will use ID Technologies’ product and engineering capabilities to bring network, cloud and end-user platforms to customers.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher acted as CACI’s legal adviser in the transaction.
In 2018, ID Technologies launched as one of the two independent companies formed by The Acacia Group after the investment firm bought and split Intelligent Decisions’ products and services businesses as part of a strategy to pursue growth opportunities in the federal market.
