Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) will continue to help the U.S. Navy modernize sensor hardware and software for Super Hornet and Growler military aircraft platforms under a $71.4 million contract modification.
The award includes work to update sensor instrumentation and interfaces related to the anti-surface warfare technical baseline of F/A-18 and EA-18G fleets, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DOD added that the company will identify and report any anomaly in F/A-18 software blocks via the Built-in Test Stability System.
The department expects work on the modification to be complete by February 2024.
Raytheon initially secured an $88.4 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in February 2019 to incorporate tactical capability enhancements into the F/A-18 and EA-18G.
