Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $211.2 million contract modification to obtain ancillary mission equipment for lots 15 and 16 of the F-35 aircraft.
The award expands the scope of F-35 equipping support for the U.S. Air Force, non-Department of Defense entities and foreign military sales customers, DOD said Wednesday.
Funds to be obligated on the modification will comprise $68.8 million from USAF, $52.8 million from the FMS program and $89.5 million from non-DOD participants.
Lockheed received a $903.6 million contract in January to procure long-lead materials needed to manufacture the lot 16 jets and another $1.1 billion in September to carry out lot 15 aircraft production work.
