Godspeed Capital Management, a government market-focused private equity firm, has invested in cybersecurity and intelligence services provider Varen Technologies for an undisclosed sum.
Marty Leshin will continue to lead Varen as president and CEO as the company works with its investor in market footprint expansion and acquisition pursuit initiatives, Varen said Thursday.
The Columbia, Maryland-based company has more than 160 software and systems engineering personnel who provide support to defense and intelligence community clients.
Miles & Stockbridge and G Squared Capital Partners respectively served Varen’s legal and financial advisers on the transaction with Godspeed.
Washington, D.C.-based Godspeed typically pursues investment opportunities at middle-market companies that generate EBITDA of between $3 million and $30 million.
