Arcline Investment Management-backed FMD said Wednesday it made the acquisition to also offer equipment that could support craft launch and recovery work in unmanned ship programs.
Military customers use Welin Lambie-built devices on amphibious vessels, aircraft carriers, littoral combat ships, cutters and other maritime platforms.
The purchase was part of FMD’s push to further expand its naval sector offerings, following the acquisitions of Hunt Valve , Ward Leonard and BRECO International .
