Mac Curtis, former chairman of the board, president and CEO of Perspecta and a seven-time Wash100 Award winner, has joined McLean, Virginia-based growth equity firm Blue Delta Capital Partners as a venture fellow.
Phil Nolan, a general partner at Blue Delta, said in a statement released Wednesday that Curtis will serve on some boards of Blue Deltaâs portfolio companies, help explore new investment opportunities, assimilate talent and help portfolio companies scale up through tuck-in acquisitions and organic growth.
âMac is a well-established market leading CEO in Government Services, including managing two of the most transformative deals in the industry in the past decade, and we are thrilled to have him on our team,â added Nolan.
With Curtis at the helm, Perspecta transformed into a $7.1 billion company, leading to its acquisition by Veritas Capital in May. He helped establish Perspecta, which now operates as part of Peraton, as a public government technology services contractor after he merged his company Vencore with DXC Technologyâs public sector business and KeyPoint Government Solutions.
Curtis said he is excited to be joining the team at Blue Delta, which has an advisory board that includes Donna Morea, chair of the board of directors at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), and Mike Daniels, chairman of the board at CACI International (NYSE: CACI).
âI have been fortunate throughout my entire career to have worked with some of the most elite teams in the GovCon industry,â Curtis told Executive Mosaicâs flagship GovCon Wire. âJoining the proven all star team of executives at Blue Delta is the continuity of achievement only fortunate executives could realize as they build on the foundation of many significant team successes.â
âMac Curtisâ long list of achievements has been documented in a chronology of his career, which was published in Executive Mosaic recently,â said Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic.
âMac enjoys the luxury of one of the best personal executive brands in our industry,â noted Garrettson. His âachievements have been recognized across the industry by a vast array of awards including the achievement of seven Wash100 leadership awards. This enviable recognition has been equaled by only a handful of industry executives.”
Executive Mosaic named Curtis to the 2021 Wash100 in recognition of his leadership and vision in the advancement of cybersecurity, intelligence and defense technologies through significant contract award wins and other moves.
