The federal business of Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has promoted John McNiff from chief of staff to a vice president position, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Friday.
In his new capacity, McNiff will oversee the delivery of software and consulting services, including the Azure cloud portfolio, to national security customers for both enterprise and mission applications.
He previously served as senior VP of business development at ManTech International‘s (Nasdaq: MANT) mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group and held a 16-year career at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
His career has also included senior management roles at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Iridium (Nasdaq: IRDM).
