The General Services Administration has partnered with Guidehouse to develop strategies for the federal government to grow and manage its fleet of electric vehicles.
Guidehouse said Tuesday it will help the GSA Office of Fleet Management to implement the company’s software suite comprising reporting, analytics and training tools.
The Veritas Capital-backed consulting firm aims to provide recommendations for governmentwide adoption and fielding of as many as 200,000 zero-emission vehicles.
āThis work represents a major component of a broader industry shift to optimize fleet operations and infrastructure to support and implement new ZEV technology,ā said Karen Wilson, a partner at Guidehouseās energy, sustainability and infrastructure business.
Efforts through the partnership are intended to support the White House’s executive order that puts the global climate crisis at the forefront of U.S. national security and foreign policy planning processes.
