Former Idaho IT Exec Kevin Iwersen Named CIO of Tyler Technologies

Kevin Iwersen, formerly the chief information officer of Idaho’s judicial branch, has been appointed to the same position at public sector software provider Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL).

He will be part of Tyler’s corporate operations team and will succeed Matt Bieri, who is due to retire early next year, the company said Tuesday.

In his previous capacity, Iwersen oversaw technology modernization initiatives for Idaho-based trial courts and led the development of the state’s judicial information system.

He also taught information technology and public policy to graduate program students at Boise State University as an adjunct professor.

His career at the U.S. Air Force included six years of active service and nearly 14 years in the military branch’s reserves component.

Iwersen was chief information officer and squadron commander before he retired from USAF in 2014 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
