Candice Ling, former chief operating officer for U.S. regulated industries at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), has been appointed as the company’s federal government civilian vice president.
She will work with the Microsoft Federal Civilian team to drive delivery of technologies to customers to help them pursue digital transformation and address modern-era challenges, Ling said in a LinkedIn post published Monday.
Ling joined Microsoft in August 2018 as the government industry leader for its business in Asia. According to her LinkedIn profile, she was responsible for advancing government digital transformation efforts across the region through tech implementation.
âMy experience in Microsoft Asia as government industry leader and my time as chief operating officer for Microsoftâs regulated industries team have helped me appreciate and understand government agencies and the unique technology challenges they face,â Ling said.
Prior to Microsoft, she spent almost two decades with CGI where she concluded her tenure as senior VP.
