AIS-AFS Team Wins Spot on $250M FERC Application Layer Modernization BPA

A team of Applied Information Sciences and Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal arm has secured a position on a seven-year, $250 million blanket purchase agreement to help the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission update mission-critical business applications.

AIS said its partnership with Accenture Federal Services is among the three prime contractors selected to support the FERC Application Layer Modernization program.

Larry Katzman, CEO and president of AIS, noted that the two companies have worked in efforts to help the Department of Energy and other customers modernize enterprise-level applications.

The ALM BPA is designed to serve as a means for the agency program offices and stakeholders to procure industry services to build an integrated application platform that supports cloud computing, cybersecurity and data access tools.

“We are proud to support FERC in their ALM journey and commend them on a forward-leaning acquisition strategy that ensures quality vendor alignment and reduces acquisition costs,” said Jason McNutt, vice president of federal growth for AIS.
