Navy Selects Sechan, SESCo for $453M Contract to Produce Positioning, Navigation & Timing Tech

The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command has awarded two small businesses a multiple-award contract worth potentially $452.8 million to produce GPS-based positioning, navigation and timing systems for the U.S. Navy.

Under the follow-on contract, Sechan Electronics and Systems Engineering Support Co. will manufacture shipboard hardware designed to generate position, velocity, acceleration, attitude, time and frequency measurements, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Sechan and SESCo can compete for task orders worth up to $241.5 million and $211.3 million, respectively.

NAVWAR received six offers for the indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract via a competitive procurement and will obligate $260,140 for the initial order of each winning vendor.
