Sandy Barsky, former information technology acquisition leader at the General Services Administration, has joined Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) as executive program director for government and education, FedScoop reported Wednesday.
In this role, he will advise engineers and commercial personnel on cloud platforms for the federal government market and education sector.
Barsky spent nearly four decades at GSA, where he served as program manager for enterprise acquisition services, IT relationship manager and enterprise architect working across the agency’s contract vehicles.
He retired from federal service in August. Prior to his retirement, Barsky was deputy software category manager serving at the Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Artificial Intelligence Institute.
