Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and Noblis have won spots on a five-year, $200 million contract to provide technical assistance to a Department of Transportation office focused on exploring technologies for potential integration into vehicles and road infrastructure.
The Federal Highway Administration named the awardees on the Technical Support Services for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office contract in separate notices posted Monday on SAM.gov.
FHWA chose the two companies to assist the ITS JPO in various research program areas such as emerging technology, data access, cybersecurity and automation.
Specifically, the department’s ITS program is seeking information and communications technologies that could increase the safety and mobility of surface transportation assets nationwide.
