The U.S. subsidiary of CAE (NYSE: CAE) has purchased a minority interest in a SkyWarrior business that primarily offers flight training services to the military sector.
Pensacola, Florida-based SkyWarrior currently supports the Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation program for student aviators at the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, CAE said Tuesday.
Dan Gelston, president of CAE’s defense and training group, said the company partnered with and invested in SkyWarrior to expand its ability to train aviation candidates entering military service and provide comprehensive training up to advanced lead-in fighter course level.
The two companies teamed up to train the Irish Air Corps through CAE’s contract with the U.S. Air Force Security Assistance Training Squadron.
The deal comes two months after the Montreal-headquartered company completed its acquisition of the military training business from L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) for $1.05 billion in cash.
