B&A has partnered with the Natural Products Association to provide the U.S. Capitol Police with meals and drinks during its two-day training seminar about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The recent effort by the McLean, Virginia-based information technology systems company and the nonprofit organization is meant to show the partnership’s appreciation to USCP members who are responsible for ensuring the safety of Congress members, employees, visitors and facilities, B&A said Wednesday.
“Our U.S. Capitol Police make daily sacrifices to ensure our safety and none of that should come at the cost of their mental well-being,” noted Jonathan Evans, president and CEO of B&A. “We are honored to have had the opportunity once again to serve the USCP through this event in support of their service.”
B&A has tapped Washington, D.C.-based Italian deli Grazie Grazie to serve event attendees with breakfast and lunch meals, while NPA’s Nutrabolt member brand provided C4 energy drinks.
Dr. Daniel Fabricant, president and CEO of NPA, underscored how law enforcement officers “put their lives on the line every day” to maintain public safety.“NPA and the entire natural products industry want to ensure we’re showing gratitude for the time officers spend away from their families,” he added.
The recent meal donation continues the partnership’s efforts to support USCP. In April, B&A and NPA also served 250 meals and drinks for USCP personnel.
