The Aerospace Corp. has secured a one-year, $1.15 billion contract modification from the U.S. Space Force to engineer and integrate systems that support the national space enterprise.
The modification exercises the third option year of a previously awarded contract and covers services for fiscal year 2022, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DOD noted that the multiyear contract has a potential value of $4.47 billion and the department expects work under the exercised option to conclude on Sept. 30, 2022.
Space Systems Command serves as the contracting activity.
Aerospace is a nonprofit corporation headquartered in El Segundo, California, and operates a federally funded research development center focused on national security space systems.
