Jackie Fendrock, a cybersecurity executive at Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business, has been appointed to serve as the head of the subsidiary’s office in Huntsville, Alabama, in addition to her current role as the managing director of cybersecurity for the safety and citizen services portfolio.
Accenture Federal Services said Fendrock, as the Huntsville practice lead, will be responsible for overseeing staff operating at remote offices, government facilities and the Invention to Innovation Center within the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Fendrock has noted that AFS is investing in its cybersecurity efforts and its community in Hunstville, where the FBI, NASA, Space and Missile Defense Command and other federal agencies have offices.
“We are committed to collaborating with leaders across this community to solve the biggest challenges facing the federal government and explore new frontiers of digital transformation,” said Fendrock, who has moved from Washington, D.C., to Huntsville for her new role.
Fendrock is attending the 2021 National Cyber Summit, which runs through Thursday in Huntsville.
