Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has announced a string of executive moves and the formation of four new business groups within its government services arm following HII’s acquisition of Alion Science and Technology.
Former Alion executives Todd Borkey and Chris Bishop have joined the HII Technical Solutions division as chief technology officer and chief growth officer, respectively, the shipbuilding company said Wednesday.
Borkey will oversee the divisionâs technology strategy, technical operations and related developments. He previously served as CTO at Alion and held the same post at Thales Defense and Security and DRS Defense Solutions.
Bishop will help shape and implement Technical Solutionsâ growth strategy and deliver new platforms to address clientsâ national security challenges. He previously served as senior vice president and chief growth officer at Alion and held senior leadership roles at ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT), URS, NCI Information Systems and SRA International.
The new business groups that will join Technical Solutionsâ unmanned systems and nuclear and environmental services groups are cyber and electronic warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; live, virtual and constructive solutions; and fleet sustainment.
Terri Walker-Spoonhour, formerly SVP of operations and head of distributed simulation group at Alion, will serve as chief operating officer and acting president of cyber and electronic warfare group at HII Technical Solutions.
Garry Schwartz, formerly head of defense and federal solutions group at Technical Solutions, will oversee the ISR group as president.
Glenn Goodman, who previously served as SVP and general manager of the integrated LVC solutions group at Alion, will serve as president of LVC solutions at the HII division.
Ryan Norris, formerly head of fleet sustainment business area within Technical Solutionsâ defense and federal solutions group, will serve as president of the divisionâs fleet sustainment group.
Chris Soong, formerly SVP and chief information officer at Alion, has joined HII Technical Solutions at CIO to oversee the divisionâs information technology systems and enterprise infrastructure, data analytics, application development and collaboration platforms.
Rich Fisne, who previously served as SVP of contracts and procurement at Alion, has been named to the same position at HII Technical Solutions.
Andy Green, executive VP and president of HII Technical Solutions and a 2021 Wash100 Award winner, said the company made the executive appointments to help the division accelerate its delivery of national security services to customers and drive its growth efforts.
