Biniam Gebre, senior managing director at Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and head of management consulting for its federal business arm, will be nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as administrator for the Office of Federal Procurement Policy within the Office of Management and Budget.
The White House said Wednesday Gebre has more than two decades of experience in the private sector and government, including time working at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
If confirmed by the Senate, Gebre will lead OFPP as it provides direction in establishing policies, regulations and procedures related to government-wide procurement efforts.
His career also includes time serving at McKinsey & Co. and on the board of Pathfinder International. At HUD, he worked as assistant secretary and commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration.
