The Army Contracting Command has placed a $152 million order for Joint Light Tactical Wheeled Vehicles manufactured by Oshkosh‘s (NYSE: OSK) defense subsidiary.
Oshkosh Defense said Thursday it will deliver JLTVs, support kits and trailers to four U.S. military branches and four NATO customers in Romania, Slovenia, Macedonia and Lithuania.
The order was awarded under a $6.75 billion contract the company won in August 2015.
To date, the military vehicle manufacturer has provided more than 12,500 JLTVs to military bases across the globe to replace high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicles.
A contract option exercised by the U.S. Army increases the maximum number of vehicles from 18,170 to 23,163.
