Leidos announced on Wednesday that the company was launching an internal promotion to promote and encourage employee vaccinations against COVID-19. For the promotion, the company is offering approximately one million dollars in total compensation to ten employees selected at random.
The sweepstakes is open to all U.S. based, full-time employees with the exception of certain senior-level leaders and the promotion will continue through Oct. 29th. There is no purchase necessary and employee participation is entirely voluntary.
“For more than 50 years, Leidos’ mission has been to make the world safer, healthier and more efficient. Today we are doubling down on that charter,” said Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos and the only eight-time recipient of the Wash100 Award.
“Through this campaign, we are investing in our people and providing a tangible incentive to save lives. If it encourages even one person to get the vaccine, it’s money well spent,” Krone added.
Leidos is a Fortune 500 information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, civil, and health markets. The company’s 40,000 employees support vital missions for government and commercial customers.
