General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) NASSCO subsidiary will conduct aircraft carrier ship repair work for the U.S. Navy under a $129.2 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity delivery order awarded by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
The contractor will perform work at its Bremerton, Washington location through January 2023, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Navy will obligate $123.5 million in fiscal 2021 other procurement funds at time of award. It conducted a competitive procurement process for the delivery order through a site for federal government procurement opportunities and received three bids.
In June, NASSCO also received a potential $121.1 million contract from the service branch to support the USS Pinckney modernization project by updating, repairing and maintaining the systems of the guided missile destroyer.
