Avantus Federal has purchased Occam’s Razor Technologies for an undisclosed amount to further expand its cyber capabilities and offerings for federal government clients.
Reston, Virginia-based ORT has been providing cyber tools, integrated software platforms and other technologies in support of defense, intelligence and national security missions since 2011, Avantus said Thursday.
Avantus CEO Andy Maner said ORT’s software and cyber capabilities and dedication to employee growth complement the company’s offerings and capabilities that could help advance growth in support of shared and new customers.
KippsDeSanto and Covington & Burling acted as ORT’s adviser and legal counsel, respectively, in the transaction. Blank Rome was Avantus’ legal adviser.
Avantus Federal is a NewSpring Holdings company based in McLean, Virginia, focused on delivering systems engineering technical services, project and portfolio management, data and software, augmented intelligence and digital innovation support to defense, intelligence, homeland security and federal civilian agency clients.
The transaction marks Avantus’ first acquisition following a rebranding effort in October.
