Thales Group has agreed to acquire a Moog business unit that manufactures radio beacons, antennas and other ground-based navigational aids intended for military and civilian use.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and Thales said Tuesday it aims to offer a comprehensive navigation technology product and maintenance service through the acquisition.
Headquartered in Salt Lake City, the navaids business of Moog accounts for less than 1 percent of the motion control system provider’s annual revenue.
Paris-based Thales expects post-acquisition integration activity to grow its engineering, technology and industrial capabilities in the U.S. market.
The French aerospace, defense and security company said it seeks to close the transaction later this year if all customary closing conditions are fulfilled.
