Atlas Research and Prometheus Federal Services‘ joint venture Titan Alpha has received a task order to assess patient care access at 140 Department of Veterans Affairs-run medical centers.
Titan Alpha will perform two audits, the first of which applies to all VAMCs and the second inspection will apply to the medical facilities that must take corrective action as a result of the initial assessment, Atlas Research said Wednesday.
The Veterans Health Administration awarded the task order under its 10-year, $1 billion Integrated Healthcare Transformation contract vehicle and will use data from the reviews to determine the performance of hospitals that serve former military personnel.
Margo Rubertus, a senior manager at Atlas Research, said a group of health care transformation professionals will use their commercial audit experience and knowledge of VHA policies and systems and policies to carry out the audits.
The agency’s access office enlists the help of an unaffiliated entity to conduct facility-level service management assessments, as mandated by the Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020.
