Advanced Technology International will help the U.S. Navy establish and run a new multi-sector consortium aimed at fostering the development and maturation of naval technologies for defending against future threats in maritime environments.
The Maritime Sustainment Technology and Innovation Consortium will support studies to augment the Navy in the areas of data transformation, cyber, technology refresh, waterfront industrial support, asset production, logistics and R&D operations, ATI said Friday.
ATI will manage MSTIC for a three-year base period and potentially seven more years under an other transaction agreement with Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division.
Large companies, non-traditional contractors, small businesses, nonprofits, for-profit entities and academic institutions compose MSTIC’s network of over 120 organizations and will perform R&D projects pursued by the consortium.
