An ASRC Federal subsidiary has secured a $67 million contract to engineer space and ground systems that support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s environmental operational satellites.
ASRC Federal Space and Defense will conduct satellite data collection, management and deployment efforts as part of NOAA’s Engineering Mission Operations Support Services VI contract, the company said Thursday.
The AS&D business will also help the agency engineer instruments used on the Meteorological Operational satellite constellation and systems for the series of Jason/Sentinel-6 satellites.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with NOAA in support of its essential work to operate and maintain satellite systems to help better monitor and understand our planet’s weather and climatic complexities,” said Jennifer Felix, president and CEO at ASRC Federal and a 2021 Wash100 recipient.
The company said EMOSS-VI has a completion date of March 2026 and also includes configuration management support for the agency’s spacecraft databases and products.
