Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance has secured a potential $383.2 million contract from the Defense Health Agency to provide customer support to Medicare-eligible service members and their dependents under the Department of Defense’s health insurance program.
WPS will help the Defense Health Agency process claims for TRICARE Medicare Eligible Program beneficiaries, the Pentagon said Friday.
The services will be available to eligible individuals located in the U.S., American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico.
DOD noted a transition-in period will occur from May 1, 2021, through April 30 next year. The firm-fixed-price contract also includes six one-year options and an additional six-month option.
