TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 11, 2021 — Peraton has secured a potential 18-year, $360 million contract from the U.S. Air Force for continued provision of software analysis and testing in support of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system, ExecutiveBiz reported April 28.
Peraton-developed digital simulators and emulators will be used to verify the safety of Minuteman III operational software under the follow-on indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Tom Afferton, president of the cyber mission sector at Peraton, said the company will leverage its code analysis and software testing experience and system knowledge to provide the Air Force with capabilities.
“For more than 45 years, Peraton has proudly partnered with the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense to support the Minuteman III systems.”
Afferton will present Morgan Adamski, chief of the National Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Collaboration Center, as keynote speaker at GovCon Wire’s Defense Cybersecurity Forum on May 12. Peraton is also one of the event’s sponsors. Click here to learn more.
