Koch will serve as executive vice president of federal programs and services while Guszcza will be senior VP and national federal director, the engineering and consulting services provider said Wednesday.
“Jim and George possess deep knowledge and expertise from both their time in the military and with Michael Baker, and I look forward to their leadership as we grow and advance our work in the Federal sector,” said Brian Lutes, CEO at Michael Baker International.
Koch’s four-decade career includes work with both the engineering industry and the U.S. military, where he retired as a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel.
He will work to grow the company’s connection with federal civilian agencies in his new role.
Guszcza holds a century’s quarter of professional experience with military, public and private sectors. He previously led Michael Baker’s efforts to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency as an office executive for activities in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
The executive will oversee workforce development, operations, processes and systems to support federal customers in his new role.
