A Maximus (NYSE: MMS) business unit has been awarded a potential $951 million contract to support a national hotline program for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts, according to a General Services Administration award notice posted on SAM.gov.
GSA issued the sole-source contract to Maximus Federal in accordance with the “urgent and compelling circumstances” provision under the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
Work will include support to the CDC-INFO national contact center and publication system designed to help customers receive public health information over the phone or via email.
Data from the federal spending information portal showed that the period of performance began April 19 with a $220.6 million obligated amount, and has a potential end date of Feb 28, 2023.
