Kongsberg‘s defense and aerospace business unit has received a $499.1 million contract modification from the U.S. Army for work in support of a weapon station system mounted on armored vehicles and used by military for target identification and engagement.
The Department of Defense said Monday work under the contract modification for the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station is expected to be completed Sept. 14, 2023.
Each order under the contract will determine the work locations and funding.
In September 2018, Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace was awarded a four-year, $498.3M contract from Army Contracting Command for CROW’s continued development, engineering and sustainment.
The company secured a CROWS production contract in 2007.
