General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business has won a five-year, $219 million contract to assist a Department of Homeland Security agency in operating a contact center for immigration-related inquiries, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Wednesday.
The company will help the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services inform the public regarding the agency’s offered benefits and immigration services, under the contract awarded through the General Services Administration’s Information Technology Schedule 70 vehicle.
GDIT is required to provide USCIS with Tier 0 and Tier 1 level support. The government held a competitive solicitation for the contract and gathered a total of three proposals.
General Dynamics has also supported other agencies within DHS. The company helped the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency provide emergency communications under a contract awarded in mid-2019.
