Tyto Athene, a government systems integrator backed by Arlington Capital Partners, has wrapped up the acquisition of AT&T’s (NYSE: T) defense-focused information technology professional services business known as Government Solutions Inc.
Chris Meilhammer, most recently president and chief operating officer of Tyto, will serve as CEO of the combined organization and Dan Smith will be the chief financial officer, the company said Thursday.
Tyto also named David Blake, former client executive director within AT&T’s business global public sector unit, as chief technology officer and hired other executives from the telecommunications company through the deal.
Carl Tegen will serve as senior vice president for the combined entity’s Army and Defense Information Systems Agency business while Bill Lantzy will be SVP of the Navy and Marine Corps unit.
As VPs, Hector Pelayo will oversee the air, space and strategic defense business unit and Jeff Wolfe will be lead the integration management office
The board of directors at Tyto added Ed Casey, most recently CEO of Idemia‘s identity and security business in North America; Ken Deutsch, founder and president of management consulting firm K4D; and Joanne Isham, co-founder of In-Q-Tel and former deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
