Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) has received a potential five-year, $89.9 million contract from the National Nuclear Security Administration to provide a platform for its Safety Analytics, Forecasting and Evaluation Reporting project.
NNSA personnel will use Palantir’s software to integrate data, analyze and visualize safety metrics from various sites, generate insights and allocate human and financial resources to advance safety and nuclear security under the SAFER project, the company said Monday.
“Our work with NNSA illustrates Palantir’s mission to provide software to the world’s most important institutions in support of their most critical work,” said Akash Jain, president of Palantir USG.
Jain added that the company is excited to broaden its government work and provide NNSA with a platform that could help the agency manage resources to support U.S. nuclear security missions.
