Daniel D’Ambrosio, executive assistant director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service‘s cyber directorate, will join a panel discussion about national security efforts in the digital space during GovCon Wire’s Defense Cybersecurity Forum on May 12.
D’Ambrosio assumed his current role in December 2019 and has since then led an operational mission to help the Department of the Navy investigate global cyber threats.
He served as assistant director and chief information officer of NCIS’ information technology directorate during 2019, special agent-in-charge of its cyber operations field office from 2018 to 2019 and assistant director within the national security directorate from 2014 to 2017.
Between 2012 and 2014, he focused on counterintelligence, counterterrorism and criminal investigation work as SAC of the agency’s Middle East field office in Manama, Bahrain.
He joined NCIS in 1997 and is a recipient of the Secretary of Defense Medal for the Global War on Terrorism.
