Executive Mosaic’s Potomac Officers Club is set to hold a virtual summit on Tuesday, March 23, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for GovCon executives and military leaders to offer pivotal insight on the space domain’s current environment. The 2021 Industrial Space Defense Summit will feature Gen. John “Jay” Raymond, chief of space operations at the U.S. Space Force and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, as the opening keynote speaker and Vice Adm. Jon Hill, director of the Missile Defense Agency, as the closing keynote speaker.
Steve Schorer, chairman and CEO of Alion Science and Technology and 2021 Wash100 awardee, will introduce Raymond while Hector Cuevas, an executive vice president at Parsons, will give the introduction speech for Hill.
Participants in the “How Does the DOD Leverage Commercialization of Space” panel are:
- Rich Aves, executive vice president of space and geospatial solutions at Parsons
- Payam Banazadeh, founder and CEO of Capella Space
- Shayn Hawthorne, space technology leader in Amazon Web Services‘ aerospace and satellite solutions division
- Col. Russell Teehan, portfolio architect director at the Space and Missile Systems Center
