PCX to Buy Senior Aerospace Connecticut Business

PCX Aerosystems, a mechanical parts supplier to the military and commercial aerospace sectors, has agreed to acquire the Connecticut-based metallic components manufacturing business of British technology company Senior for an undisclosed sum.

The deal would add Senior Aerospace Connecticut‘s transmission and rotorhead products to the PCX portfolio and expand the customer base of original equipment manufacturers for the combined organization, PCX said Monday.

SAC employs modern production and process control approaches to build metal-based aerospace structures.

PCX, which is partly owned by RFE Investment Partners, sees potential revenue synergies from the deal because of the companies’ complementary offerings for defense and commercial customers.

The company noted it supplies aerospace assemblies to Boeing (NYSE: BA), Textron’s (NYSE: TXT)’s Bell subsidiary, General Electric’s (NYSE: GE) aircraft engines business and Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary.
